Description
CONSULTING SERVICES FOR ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL, PLUMBING AND ELECTRO MECHANICAL DESIGN, ASSESSMENT, SUPERVISION AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES OF URBAN BUILDING SAFETY PROJECT [JICA LOAN NO. BD-P84-01].
The Government of Bangladesh and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have initiated the Urban Building Safety Project (UBSP) to strengthen the building safety in Urban Cities by financing loans for building safety for private buildings through Participating Financial Institutions (PFI), and by improving the building safety for public buildings, thereby contributing to improvement of the social vulnerability of urban cities.
Services
1. Detailed design of civil works including base isolation retrofitting design, assessment, cost estimation; Pluming and water supply, electro-mechanical, fire safety management, centrally air-conditioned and BEMS, provision of co-generation (if needed); 2. Building assessment and as built design, retrofitting design of public buildings; 3. Cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tender document preparation and tender evaluation assistance; 4. Quality control including testing of materials, equipment installations and construction supervision; 5. Facilitation of implementation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMoP) using CASBEE of LEED; 6. Assessment, design, retrofitting design of private buildings for Two Step Loan Component and support to construction supervision; and 7. Technology transfer thought arranging local and overseas training, seminar, and workshop; 8. Assist Technical Review Panel (TRP) (when required).
